It’s Not About the ‘Damn Emails.’ It’s About Making Good Decisions.

On both sides of the aisle, we see some pretty foul decision-making coming from Washington DC in recent years. The entire broken political system notwithstanding, great leaders that make great decisions are still capable of helping the people to turn this country and this world around. This is why the use of a private email server is such a relevant topic despite what the left and their buddies in the Republican establishment would have you believe.

It would be easy to point to all of things that have happened over the past couple of weeks that pertain to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and scream for a conspiracy theory. Right when the truth should start to really be damning, the Democrats and their faux-pas-ridden counterparts in the Republican establishment have tried to derail the conversation and dismantle reality. Both the timing and the sources of the most recent Republicans gumming up the process smell downright conspiratorial.

From the left, the love coming from competitor Bernie Sanders during the Democratic debate on CNN was spot on… at least on the surface. He claimed that he wanted to move on and focus on the issues, but the reality is that Clinton’s ability to not make stupid decisions is squarely in the middle of the issues.

Here are the facts that we know so far:

  • Hillary Clinton decided to use a private email server instead of her state-supplied email address so she wouldn’t have to carry two phones. This is a either a really stupid idea or a downright lie. Either way, it’s not the type of decision that anyone should want from a President of the United States.
  • She claimed that no sensitive or secret emails were sent from her private email server. This is turning out to be false as well.
  • The system she chose to use is under investigation for being insecure. As of now, it appears that her emails were much less secure than what the government would have supplied.
  • All of this came to light during a bigger investigation of a series of poor choices that resulted in the death of 4 Americans in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

If Americans are concerned about the leadership of the country, they won’t just on the ‘damn emails” bandwagon based upon idiots on both sides of the fence. They’ll want to know if their potential Commander-in-Chief is incompetent when it comes to making important decisions.
