Snapchat had one heck of a year.
Not only does the platform register more strongly with teenage users than any other social app, it grew an impressive 57 percent between Q1 and Q4 2014, reports GlobalWebIndex.
That was good enough to hold off second placed Facebook Messenger, which added 50 percent more users over that same period.
Pinterest and Instagram (both up 43 percent) finished tied for third, with Twitter’s Vine adding a credible 30 percent to its tally last year.
Also of note: amongst teens, the UK boasts Snapchat’s highest penetration rate, with 39 percent usage.
